Description: Background color is black. Fore-wing with a well developed dark orange dennis and a yellow post median band with a spot in area Cu1 sometimes missing. The patch at the distal end of the cell is divided in two and separated from the band itself. Hind-wing with a long horizontal bar and strong rays.
Similar species: Heliconius Melpomene Thelxiopeia, Neruda Aoede Aoede, Heliconius erato amazona.
